Federal & Local Money, but where's the State?

The federal legislators representing McHenry County have done a wonderful job, working together across party lines, to secure significant funding for roadway improvements in McHenry County. The funding that our U.S. Senators and Representatives get is not enough to completely build a project, but rather it acts as "seed money' to perform engineering, to buy property, and to start a fund to pay for the actual construction. It is the responsibility of other governmental entities, primarily the State of Illinois, to use their resources to supply the balance of the funding necessary to build these projects.

The list below summarizes the project funding that our Federal elected officials have secured for critical improvements in McHenry County, and the funding commitments currently in place from the State of Illinois:
